Final Weeks State Side

Our final weeks in Massachusetts the United States have been filled with many "lasts"... checks to the To-Do List, goodbyes & cardboard boxes.

We paid our local AAA Travel Agency a visit to get our International Driving Permits - watch out Europe, here we come! I was a little surprised to learn that anyone with a valid United States drivers license can simply walk in, pay $15, snap a picture, sign on the dotted line and BAM! You can drive in another country.

Although we do not know where we will be living yet, we do have an APO address that allowed us to submit an official change of address to the U.S. Post Office. This was so our mail can be forwarded to us for the next several weeks while we're in between living situations.

Enter Moving Day 1, 2 & 3.
Our moving truck.

Our confused little puppy. Okay, not a puppy - he's seven and about to become a world traveler.

Empty. Empty living room.

Although I enjoy painting & find it both relaxing & entertaining, priming ...not so much.

We officially handed in our house keys last week & are now occupying a room in the lodging facility on base. Daniel, myself, our puppy, five suitcases and two carry on bags.

Goodbye Fenway Lane.

Daniel had his last day in the office on Friday. Monday we're looking forward to going into Boston for a final Red Sox game at Fenway Park & delicious meal at one of our favorite spots to properly say goodbye to a city we have come to love.

Next week we will drive to Baltimore {again} & board our direct, eight hour flight to Germany. Real life. We're moving to Germany. Prayers appreciated during this time of transition & change in our lives.
